LIVIDATIS, Tasos
I open my door in the evening
I open my door in the evening
And lift a bright lamp in my hand
So that everybody who's grieving
Can see it all over the land,
Can find here a table laid outdoors
And sorrow to fill every bowl
And silently standing beside us
Our pain so familiar to all,
Can find here a corner or rather
A bench for a blind man to stoop,
And then while we talk to each other
Christ will join our company too.
